There's currently a work in progress version available to my Patreon subscribers, and I'm hoping to finish the project and make it available on itch once I'm back at work in a couple of weeks.
Hi, I am brand new to video game development and I would like to create a game similar to animal crossing in gameplay - I was curious if these assets are compatible with gamemaker 2?
Hi, I haven't designed them for gamemaker, or personally tested them in that engine. My suggestion would be to download thbefree demo version to test the assets out.
Hey Jamie also I found this maybe for a future update, it's not a problem for me because I can lower the roofs, but just in case the roof deco below is overlaping the square above
No worries, just wondering if you had something already made, thanks anyway enjoy your time off! Edit: is it me or the windows don't align well to the square, I could manually move them as an object but just wondering if this positioning is normal, I'm pretty sure I'm wrong and not seeing something well.
I don't have the files to hand but there should be at least one variation of the window designed to fit that formation for the house and sit on the tile grid.
Hey, finally integrated new blob tilesets for terrain and found out that water and cliffs use and old format (16 tiles I guess)... are there any plans to make blobs for water and cliffs? Thanks! :)
Hello, may I ask if you are familiar with TiledMap Editor? I am currently working on creating a map with automatic tiling, but it is different from the other maps I have worked with. Could you please advise me on how to set up automatic tiling in Tiled Map Editor?
Funny enough I just came on to post a similar question. The tileset looks absolutely amazing, however I also want to use automap but some of the tiles don't work too well with it.
It may be a case where I'm not using the correct tileset for my use case, but I can't seem to find anything in all of the files. It seems like there aren't many defined inverse corners (for creating 'blank spaces') or tiles for "weird" corners.
I found an inverse tileset in the Legacy folders, but unfortunately those tiles don't match the ones for the Rural village...
I can message you with examples of the corners/tiles if it would help give a better understanding.
Thank you! None of those things are included in this asset pack. There's a forge in the blacksmith set, and a fireplace in the interior set. There's a scarecrow in the crops set, but I don't have a beehive at all.
Hi, I bought the entire bundle and I want to thank you for your work.
I have one problem. While I was able to use your assets to draw the inside of a house as well as a forest with a house in the center, I am having a hard time trying to draw a river in my game. I am using the Outside_A1a.png under the legacy folder for the river/water asset. Is that the right asset to use for rivers? The images in there looks like they are designed for animated sprites. For example, the second row appears to have three 96x96 sprites which looks like a pool of water with animation.
I am new to game making and I think I just don't know how to use your assets correctly. Am I looking at the wrong thing, or do I just need to manipulate Outside_A1a.png for my rivers?
I purchased this pack when it was on sale 3 years ago. However, now I can no longer download it, as the minimum price increased to $10. Is this intentional? :(
It's not intentional, it's a quirk in how itch deals with price changes to items. It's an easy fix though! If you send me an email or DM and let me know the email you used to purchase, so I double check everything, I can send you a key to unlock everything again. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Hi ! I was just adding some street lamp to my game that turn on and off based on the day time but I noticed that the "on" version and the "off" version aren't exactly the same. The base is different Is it intended to have two separate style ? I can just modify it myself, shouldn't be a big deal :)
Hi! The tiles are that way mostly to let you mix and match, and to save space on the tile sheet. You should be able to easily modify them in whatever image editor you use!
- In the new Rural Village Terrain (8d version), I can't seem to find any "bent inwards" grass tiles, only the one "bent outwards". You have those type of tiles for some of the terrain, but not all of them. Am I missing something? (This time I checked the animated tiles folder hehe)
I've highlighted in red which type of tiles I'm talking about:
Ohh now I see it! I was so used to how you had done it in the legacy version so I couldn't see it in this new one. Thank you very much for your fast replies!
I'm adding blob tilesets soon that will hopefully help solve problems like this. I've tested out the grass so far and it works well. I'm going to work on the other parts after the weekend when I get some free time.
Hi, you can request a refund from itch if you feel the assets aren't suitable for your needs.
Only a few of my assets carried the rpgmaker tag and only one claimed to have any tiles formatted for the engine. I've now removed all tags and any mention of rpgmaker to avoid any potential confusion in future, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Thank you for the fast reply, is Aseprite a game engine? I'm an aspiring game dev and want to learn more about how to incorporate the animation frame system for assets; trying to learn how to use them so i can buy! How would you load animation for these wonderful assets?
Hi, sorry for the slow reply. Aseprite is a specialised pixelart program. I don't actually do a lot of game dev, so I can't really help with anything about loading them into an engine, sorry!
I just recently bought the bundle pack of all Solaria assets, and had a question; Some of the assets come in 16x16, 32x32, and 48x48 sizes, or have RPG Maker formatting already.
Do you intend to extend the 32x32/48x48 sizes or RPG Maker support to all of your assets? I've noticed that the "legacy" folder has assets already formatted, but not every item has a legacy folder.
I do plan to add that eventually, but it's a very long and annoying process so I've been putting it off. It's not currently a top priority.
The reason only the one asset pack has a legacy folder is because I've just overhauled the Rural Village tileset and everything is new. The other asset packs will get the same treatment soon.
Great!! :D Everything is beautiful as it is now. I'll definitely be following progress along to grab new packs as they come, and especially to grab updates as they come out to fit RPG Maker :) Wonderful work!!
Thanks so much for supporting my work! 💚 Yes, I actually plan to make new biomes soon! I already have some work done towards beach and desert tilesets, so look out for those in the near future!
An early version of the Beach tileset is available for Patreon members at the moment. I've not done any work towards the desert tileset for a while, I might revisit it soon.
Yeah, that's an oversight that I've totally forgotten to correct, apologies. If you scroll down the comments a little you can see someone else had this issue and I provided the tile in the reply 😅
Hello! I'm actively working on farm animal sprites. An early version is currently available to Patreon members (chickens and rabbits), but the full version will be available in a few weeks, as soon as I can get some artwork together for the itch page.
This tileset has everything I needed and then some. I am really impressed with the attention to detail, especially with the varied views. Also, most autotiles have secondary tiles to add in for randomness within the design.
Both of these things make it easy to create maps that feel alive and not so flat.
Everything looks great. I am replacing my current tileset with this in a game I am working on. One thing I need once I finish retheme is I am going to repurpose assets to create an elven toy workshop where they make little robots and stuff. Willing to pay directly through hire if you were interested but that's something I plan to make myself since doesn't fit your overall theme. Here are some things I would pay for:
- Holiday items (xmas, halloween or maybe even a 'fake' holiday would be neat like 'Deer Day' and everyone grows antlers for a day or something lol) - Wizard assets, magical items like maybe a harry potter esque store like you did with blacksmith but for magic - Vehicle or tech assets - think a cute little tractor for farming or a cute blimp for long travelling without teleports - Assets for guilds, teams
I'll make notes for all of this! Also, if you send me an email I can hook you up with a bunch of old bits and pieces, including some slightly older Xmas and Halloween stuff, assets for a witch hut and just loads more stuff that might be useful. We can also discuss commissions, which I'm almost always down for if it's in my Solaria style.
This might be a big ask but - I really need blob tilesets of the grass and snow. I want the player to be able to dig up grass to decide where there are dirt patches on the farm, and I just can't get Godot to autotile correctly with just the supplied tiles. I've tried everything I could think of, every bitmask configuration and even plugins. I ended up making my own blob tilesets with the program Tilesetter. They technically work great but need some love from a real pixel artist. Here's my best grass attempt so far:
Could you possibly take a look at this for an update?
Just letting you know I haven't forgotten about this! Blob tilesets will be in the next update for this asset pack. I just need to do a little more research so I can make sure they're done properly.
Yeah it takes me a while to get to things, sorry 😅 I'm going to put together a roadmap soon so you'll be able to get a better idea of what I'm working on!
Hi I got the purchased this asset and first off, its amazing! I'm creating a procedural world with the tiles (Just for fun really). Was just curious if there is a missing water tile? It has all the tiles for water edges and animated lines and fishes but I can't see the default water tile? I may just be not seeing it!
Thank you! that's awesome, always happy to hear about people having fun and doing cool stuff with the assets!
The default water tile would just be a plain blue 16x16 tile, to be honest! I'm not sure why I didn't include it, but I will include it in the next update, as I've been asked about it before. In the meantime, I'll include it here, you should be able to right-click and save it.
And thank you for creating such amazing assets! I'll probably end up doing a little post about it eventually, although my take a while as its just a little side project!
Ah this is very true! Guess I could have just made it myself now I think about it XD, Thank you very much for the quick reply though, appreciated!
Your bundle page shows a winter pack, but clicking on it goes to a page saying it is restricted - is there any way I can buy that one only? it’s the only pack I don’t have yet
Ah, that's actually a massive oversight from me. It shouldn't be available in the bundle.Itch defaults to including everything when you set one up. I've now removed it.
I actually moved everything from the Winter Village pack into the Rural Village pack, as well as updating tiles and adding a few more, so you're not really missing out on anything by not having it.
If you need more assets I'll be releasing new stuff soon!
Besides plain/ static water for large areas of water, I think it would be nice if you add coastlines. Btw nice artwork, I'm building my first game with World of Solaria tile sheets.
WOW can't wait for that update 😮 sure I'll keep you posted, here's my small progress Slayer (hellowin-slayer.fly.dev) (btw it only able to open from Windows, because of limitation from the game engine, I'm using Godot). I'm still very newbie in game dev, it took me 2 weeks only to build that proof of concept 😅 I'll inform you later when I'm ready to create my own Itch.io page.
The download contains 2 versions of the asset pack. There's update 05a, which has a bunch of marketplace and farming stuff, as well as update 07, which has a bunch of added and improved artwork and seasonal tiles, but not the market and farming tiles.
There's this bundle that contains everything except for the sprites and the fountains add-on (which you don't really need). There's not one single download with everything in though, it's not really worth my time to do that.
I most likely just forgot. I'll make sure to add it in the next update, but in the meantime it should be easy to make one in any image editing program.
Is there a chance that you add a bundle with assets from your ko-fi gallery? Like museum, old docks and subscriber-only assets (which are now not available for purchasing or downloading for some reason :( )
The plan is to take all of the content from Ko-fi, separate things out and integrate it existing asset packs, or add to/improve it and release as a standalone pack. I've actually started work on this.
That will take a lot of time however, due to my day job and other stuff, so if you'd like to get hold of the assets now, then drop me a donation on Ko-fi for whatever amount you want and I'm happy to send you a download link! Just let me know in the message that it's dmsovetov from itch 👍
Yeah, absolutely. I'll probably be working on those things soon for full tilesets, but if you need them sooner you can drop me a little something on Ko-fi!
As for commissions, it greatly depends on what exactly the commission is, but send me an email or a DM on socials and we can discuss things!
Hi ! Thanks for your tilesets, they are really awesome !
- Could you make different size of stump ? I would like to chop small trees but the current stump is a bit larger than the small trees. The stump for larger trees could be nice but as you wish :)
- Also, I have some issues with the size of larger trees. They do not make the collisions obvious for the players. I don't know if the base should be a bit larger or if the tree should 2 tiles long. How do you handle that in your game/prototype ?
Thanks again, for your work. For now my project is really in prototype phase, but I would like to add your links into the credits if I reach a public phase at some point ;)
The tree stump is certainly something I can do for the next update! I'm hoping to make a small update in a few weeks to improve some more of the artwork.
I might revisit the trees at a later date to add something that works better with RPG Maker, this would probably be a 2x2 tile tree. Keep me updated on your project, and let me know whenever you have any ideas or suggestions!
I will wait then. I bought two of the packs and noticed that they are not compatible with RPG Maker. Not everything can be used for what I want, so I have to buy in some eventual promotion because I will have an extreme work to try to adapt the images for the RPG Maker.
Thank you for your patience! I haven't been able to spend much time on Solaria recently due to other things, but I've actually just started work on RPG Maker compatibility today!
Hi, just bought all your bundles. I would really like more destroyable stuff. For example like in Zelda Games the jars/vases or barrels. I agree with tsukichild, the cut grass I'd like too.
In your cave package I'd like to see animations so that you could actually mine the stones/rocks to get their gems. So basically animations for the rocks, so they get damaged/destroyed and animations for using a pickaxe to mine them.
Also one thing I'm not sure on. Your Dungeon Package doesn't have 32x32 nor 48x48. Can I just upscale the images or is it something you have to update? Because I already started to work with 48x48 images. Thanks for your work!
Thank you for your suggestions! I can definitely do all of that for you. I'm currently on another project, so updates will start in early/mid April.
Yeah, you're free to just upscale the assets yourself, the other sizes are just the 16px assets enlarged by 200% and 300%. I'll update the assets myself when I get chance.
Another thing I noticed is that on the Blacksmith Package there is an Example 04.gif where the Blacksmith Character has like a Zelda like obtain animaton and also the sparkly hammer above him, however I could find neither of these as sprites. This would also be a great addition for characters to have for the first time they obtain a weapon. Of course it would probably be troublesome to add for all character sprites, so maybe do it for the Hero01 only, because I chose him to use. It would be interesting as he could obtain the sword, the hammer and the upcoming pickaxe as well in a glorious way. Thanks again! For me April is fine, since I will have the most free time starting in early May.
Yes I was originally planning a larger update before taking on a contract, so the get animations got delayed. I do actually plan to add them for every character though!
Ooh wonderful! Another thing, is there a fishing pole somewhere? I looked through the files (and KOFI) and I don't see to see one just yet but might have missed it.
No, in a word. It is planned, but honestly probably a long way off before I can implement it. I'd need to get to grips with Godot myself first, or work with someone familiar with it to make it happen.

Hello there Jamie, maybe next theme will be beach side? I really need a beach xD thanks!
There's currently a work in progress version available to my Patreon subscribers, and I'm hoping to finish the project and make it available on itch once I'm back at work in a couple of weeks.
To the patreon I go thanks!

Hey Jamie, qq, do you happen to have a screenshot of any town you designed like to get inspiration from in how you combine so many assets?
Hey Jamie also I found this maybe for a future update, it's not a problem for me because I can lower the roofs, but just in case the roof deco below is overlaping the square above
Thanks for spotting this! I'll remove it in the next update.
As for the scteenshot, I'm unfortunately away from work for a few weeks so I can't put anything together for you.
Thanks, no worries I can manage via objects instead of tiles, worth looking for future updates tho thank you!
Hey, I can't find any extra water, I only see water connected to sand. World of Solaria Rural Village Legacy Assets \ 16x16 \ Tilesets \ RVWater
How do you mean extra water?
I have found the answer, but currently I still don't know how to implement the animation of the water on the shore in Godot
It's easy I'll send you a video one I get to my pc
Hey, finally integrated new blob tilesets for terrain and found out that water and cliffs use and old format (16 tiles I guess)... are there any plans to make blobs for water and cliffs? Thanks! :)
Yeah, I'll add that as soon as I can figure out a good way to do it.
Thanks!
Hello, may I ask if you are familiar with TiledMap Editor? I am currently working on creating a map with automatic tiling, but it is different from the other maps I have worked with. Could you please advise me on how to set up automatic tiling in Tiled Map Editor?
Hi, I'm not a big user of Tiled, but I'll make a note of this and look into it for you.
Funny enough I just came on to post a similar question. The tileset looks absolutely amazing, however I also want to use automap but some of the tiles don't work too well with it.

Hello, I like your art so much!!
But i can't find the sprites like furnace, beehive, scarecrow, can you tell me where these sprites are.
Thank you.
Thank you! None of those things are included in this asset pack. There's a forge in the blacksmith set, and a fireplace in the interior set. There's a scarecrow in the crops set, but I don't have a beehive at all.
Oh thanks for the reply.
I bought the bundle and hopefully the beehive and more flower will be add soon.
Yeah I do have plans for those things!
Hi, I bought the entire bundle and I want to thank you for your work.
I have one problem. While I was able to use your assets to draw the inside of a house as well as a forest with a house in the center, I am having a hard time trying to draw a river in my game. What game engine are you using? The tiles sheets with the A1, A2 etc suffix are edited for use in RPG Maker.
EDITED
After I learned more about Godot, I was able to create something I liked using the "Terrain/Dirt Edges.png".
Awesome! This looks like it's set up perfectly!
Hello, may I ask how the animation of water is implemented
There are lots of short , simple tutorial videos if you do a Google search for "animated tiles Godot".
I watched this video and used it to learn how Godot's animated tiles feature works
I purchased this pack when it was on sale 3 years ago. However, now I can no longer download it, as the minimum price increased to $10. Is this intentional? :(

I've labelled the tiles to show how to create the different inner corners here:
Ohh now I see it! I was so used to how you had done it in the legacy version so I couldn't see it in this new one. Thank you very much for your fast replies!
Another question related to terrain tiles :) Do we have tiles for these cases in a new tileset (it was there in an old one)?
I'm adding blob tilesets soon that will hopefully help solve problems like this. I've tested out the grass so far and it works well. I'm going to work on the other parts after the weekend when I get some free time.
Oh, I see. Thank you for your reply! =)
I really like the new art style you're using! Thank you so much for the great update!
I have a question:
- I can't seem to find the updated doors used in the example pictures on this page, am I missing something?
Thank you! It's honestly probably not you, more likely my file organisation 😅
The file path is: World of Solaria Rural Village Update 08d\16x16\With Shadows\Animated Tiles\Doors\PNG
Ohh right! I forgot to check the Animated Tiles! Thank you for helping out! :)

Yes, I actually plan to make new biomes soon! I already have some work done towards beach and desert tilesets, so look out for those in the near future!
Any news about the Beach and Desert biomes? Looking forward to getting those.
An early version of the Beach tileset is available for Patreon members at the moment. I've not done any work towards the desert tileset for a while, I might revisit it soon.
It looks like you forgot to include plain water tiles in the 16x16 folder. Had to go digging in the RPG maker folder. Correct me if I'm blind.
Yeah, that's an oversight that I've totally forgotten to correct, apologies. If you scroll down the comments a little you can see someone else had this issue and I provided the tile in the reply 😅

Besides plain/ static water for large areas of water, I think it would be nice if you add coastlines. Btw nice artwork, I'm building my first game with World of Solaria tile sheets.
I actually do have a bunch of stuff in the works and big plans to expand out these sets, including beaches, it's just finding the time to make it all.
Also that's great to hear! Keep me updated on it, I genuinely love seeing how people use these assets.
Awesome, it plays well, even on my phone. Looking forward to seeing it progress!
Just a question dose update 7 have only update 7 tiles or all from previouse tilesets?
The download contains 2 versions of the asset pack. There's update 05a, which has a bunch of marketplace and farming stuff, as well as update 07, which has a bunch of added and improved artwork and seasonal tiles, but not the market and farming tiles.
Hope that makes sense!
do you maybe have a pack with all world of solaria tiles?
There's this bundle that contains everything except for the sprites and the fountains add-on (which you don't really need). There's not one single download with everything in though, it's not really worth my time to do that.
Is there a reason there isn't a plain water tile? There are 4 variants with lily pads, but no plain water (in the 07 update)
edit: I see there is some for animated water, but not still water :/
I most likely just forgot. I'll make sure to add it in the next update, but in the meantime it should be easy to make one in any image editing program.
All your assets looks awesome!
One question, do you have any pack with crop assets to make a farm simulator game?
Thx!
Thank you! I don't have any farming stuff yet, that is something I have planned though!
Thank you for your answer, I will keep this in mind! Your assets are awesome!
Any chance this offer is still open? I love and could really use the beach and waterfall! Also, do you still do commissions?
Yeah, absolutely. I'll probably be working on those things soon for full tilesets, but if you need them sooner you can drop me a little something on Ko-fi!
As for commissions, it greatly depends on what exactly the commission is, but send me an email or a DM on socials and we can discuss things!
Hi, can i use the sprites on social media and similar to promote my game?
Of course! Don't forget to drop links here or tag me on socials so I can help spread the word 💚
I'll do it for sure! I'll work on the game for a while and i'll come here to show you my work
I don't know if you paid attention to it, but after the update, you added the tiles from the winter pack and deleted the hero's animations.
That's intentional. The previous version of this pack is also available here until I do something with the missing tiles.
I understand, you are cleaning up the packages. All right.
Yeah, the aim is to have less repeated content between packs and make updates quicker, easier and more focused.
I can't wait for you to add new monsters. I create an arpg game and admit that there are not enough of them.
Animated flowers not available for RPG Maker version? I can create the animations myself if you provide at least 3 frames of the images.
It's either because they were a late addition or because the animation doesnt work in 3 frames.
I'll take a look and see if I can make them work, but none of the assets were originally made with RPG Maker in mind.
All the frames are there in the 16x16 folder, they just need to be scaled up 3x to 48x48.
Thanks
Hi, thanks for your feedback!
Any news about the RPG Maker version?
Tomorrow!
Nice!
I found a little problem with the wall tiles. See in the image that I had to correct this empty margin in the images.
Excellent work thank you.
Thanks for pointing that out, I'll push out an update when I can to fix it.
Hi, I saw you were working on the rpg maker compatibility, is this pack still not compatible?
The update should be ready this week!
Thanks!
Hello!
Just bought the bundle to make it reach the sale goal (and mostly because all these assets look wonderful and with a lot of effort put into them)!
I'm still not sure I'm going to use these (definitely hope so though), but I just wanted to confirm a few points if it's not too much trouble :
Once again, thank you for making these and I'll make sure to check any new stuff!
Thank you so much! It means a lot 💚
Thanks again, I've got a lot planned for this series of assets!
Thank you very much for the answers!
I'll be looking forward to updates and new packs too 👍
Excellent work. Is there a bundle with all packages?
Thank you! Not at the moment, just a bundle with all the main tilesets and a separate bundle with all of the sprites.
I was planning on creating a bundle with everything in the next few weeks to celebrate a year of being on itch.
보드게임에 쓸수있을까요?
You can use the assets for personal board game projects, but not for any commercial board games or printed products.
ok ty!
Hello, thanks for choosing my assets!
Thanks again!
Good luck on your current project!
Yes I was originally planning a larger update before taking on a contract, so the get animations got delayed. I do actually plan to add them for every character though!
I am using it for Gadot just fine if that's any help. I'd love for some animations to cut grass, shake trees, etc.
That's good to know, thank you! I'll make a note of that suggestion! Should be quite simple to do, I've made similar for commissions.
Ooh wonderful! Another thing, is there a fishing pole somewhere? I looked through the files (and KOFI) and I don't see to see one just yet but might have missed it.
Not yet! I'll make a note for that too! Thank you for the suggestions!
Is this ready for Godot?
No, in a word. It is planned, but honestly probably a long way off before I can implement it. I'd need to get to grips with Godot myself first, or work with someone familiar with it to make it happen.
Oh, Godot just uses PNG
Oh, okay! All the assets are .png so you should have no issues!
Works great for gadot! Sprite sheets can be a little funky, but I don't mind moving those as I use so few.
